Aheadset® is the quintessential high-value repair headset system. Six standard models covering the vast majority of common headset replacement needs are available. Included in the redesigned Aheadset® product line are the brands, first-ever threaded headset models; available as traditional models for 1" and 1 1/8".
A critical design goal to minimize the number of unique parts while maximizing interchangeability has been met. Universal high-ball-compliment caged bearings are used on all but the integrated model. An innovative compression cover integrates the compression ring and top cover for threadless configurations. One universal top cap was developed for both 1" and 1-1/8" threadless configurations. In threadless configurations the cone and crown race are the same part. All but the integrated headset feature a universal LubeAlarm green o-ring seal.
Less unique parts = more interchangeability
The commonality of parts makes the Aheadset system adaptable to a number of unique headset configurations beyond the 6 standard models. Using the small parts kit, it's possible to create 11 unique headset configurations; including a ZeroStack™ threaded assembly for either a 1" or 1-1/8" fork. Additionally, 1" threaded or threadless steer-tubes can be, for the first time ever, adapted to a 1-1/8" head-tube.

The cone and crown race in threadless models are the same part. In threaded models the cone/race is used as a crown race
The threaded adjusting cone can be adjusted using a standard external bottom bracket tool, hook spanner or by hand
The threaded lock ring features large 32mm wrench flats so a common 10" adjustable wrench can be used
A green o-ring seals out contaminants and audibly alerts the user when more lubricant is needed
