The Aheadset® threadless headset, pioneered by John Rader, revolutionized bicycle steering systems by making them safer and more adaptable to new technologies. Modern suspension forks and carbon steer-tube road forks were born as a result of threadless headset technology. Aheadset®, the original threadless headset brand, was brought to market in 1991 by Cane Creek Cycling Components.

Aheadset® headsets are high-value service oriented products that meet all of Cane Creek's performance and parts interchangeability requirements. Engineered by Cane Creek's engineers to minimize parts and maximize interchangeability the Aheadset® system can be configured into 11 different headset configurations, including a ZeroStack™ threaded configuration and adapting a 1" fork to an 1-1/8" frame.
